Community Wills Program

After seeing the success of our Fall Community Wills Program, we have decided to bring this initiative back for Spring 2020! This service will be available from April 15 to May 31.

Don't have a will? You are not alone. According to a 2014 report for BC Notaries, just 55 per cent of British Columbians have a signed, legally valid and up-to-date will. We’d like to help. We want to ensure that the people you cherish most receive the benefit of your estate.

As a special project this Spring, Manhas Mar Lawyers will be hosting their Community Wills Program. For convenience, we have set aside four Saturdays with appointment times. In order to take advantage of this program, please phone and book a time slot so we can reserve it for you. The available appointment times are listed below:

• To register, send an email requesting our services to mar@manhasmar.com and we will provide you with the Wills Questionnaire. Let us know in your email which time slot is best for you and if you are interested in a Single Will or a Couple’s Will. A Couple’s Will requires two completed questionnaires, one from each person.

• Please note, our Communities Wills Program has limited spots and will serve on a first-come first-served basis. Please ensure your questionnaire is completed and emailed to us at least 4 days prior to your appointment day with your desired appointment time. As there are a limited number of spots, if for some reason you are unable to make the timeslot you booked, please let us know 48 hours in advance so we can open up the timeslot for others.

• As a part of this Community Wills Program, 10% of fees from the wills completed will be given to local non-profits serving our local community in the areas of wellness, sport, or youth. This way we will all be helping to make our community a better place. Fees found at our wills page.
